Faux Rock
Here we have two rocks that are located at the convergence of a beach entry and a cantilevered coping.
A large biological feature shows three large faux rocks combined with real rock over a rubber liner.

My brother's pool in Apple Valley shows the use of "satellite" rocks around the pool edge and raised bond. Changes in elevation are a good location for satellites as they make an excellent abutment for other hardscape.
ie: "Satellites"
