The Smiling Rocks Story
I had been a Christian for over 15yrs and had seen God work in my life in numerous miraculous ways but had never FELT his presence personally inside. One day in 2009 when life had been wearing me down I was sitting in church getting very frustrated. I felt no connection to the worship song’s lyrics of ”loving and adoring the Lord”, etc. So I prayed for God to show me His face, help me to feel His presence and to know His “reality” in my heart, not just in my mind.
The next morning I awoke to a vision. I saw a blue sky above with white clouds slowly moving by. In the blue of the sky I saw a smile and “heard” God say the words....“Believe it!”. Not screaming or loud but quietly powerful and impassioned. I had “known” the truth but still needed to believe it! From that day on my life and faith has never been the same. Through all of life’s twists and turns, ups and downs I need to remember to “believe it“! To believe that God has a purpose for my life and a future beyond my death. Because of Jesus I have a future and a hope!
As the Bible says regarding Jesus’ impassioned disciples, “...if these should keep silent the stones would cry out”, (Luke 19:40)
Smiling Rocks help remind me of my blessings, my hope, my faith and my purpose. To be a blessing and not a curse to others. By sharing compassion, love, hope and help wherever & whenever I can, with Gods help.
So remember God loves you and has a plan for you. Get to know that Jesus guy and then believe! And then even when life is hard, (and especially when life is hard) remember to smile! It’s free! It’s healing! And it helps you and it helps all the rest of us!
